CLEANING YOUR CANOPY TENT

Can you wash canopy tent covers in washing machine

A folding pavilion must always be cleaned very gently, so the washing machine is taboo. Our fabrics are very easy to clean and the canopy tents sidewalls have protective PVC edges in the lower third so that they are even easier to clean.

For the correct cleaning of your canopy tent:

Step 1: Gentle moistening - Start by moistening the roof or side wall material with clear tap water. Avoid sharp jets of water and keep the water temperature below 30°C for best results.

Step 2: Gentle rubbing - Once the fabric is slightly damp, use a soft cloth or sponge soaked in lukewarm water (max. 30°C) to rub the surface of your canopy tent. Be careful to apply only light pressure and avoid the use of brushes.

We advise against the use of steam cleaners and chemical agents, as these can damage or even completely destroy the fire retardant coating. If you want to use a cleaning agent, use some neutral soap dissolved in lukewarm water.  A high-pressure cleaner is also not suitable for polyester fabric.

THE CORRECT CANOPY TENT STORAGE

Provide your Ecotent® canopy tent with the proper drying time after cleaning to prevent mold. Make sure the roof or side wall can dry completely in a dry and well-ventilated place. The side walls and roof of a canopy tent should never be packed when wet. Care should also be taken to ensure that the inside of the transport bag is dry, otherwise the same results can be expected.

Once everything is dry, you can properly store your canopy tent. Choose a dry room for storage and make sure that the tent frame is not subjected to unnecessary stress. Damp cellars and rooms should be avoided if you are going to store your tent for a long period of time. Distribute the weight evenly on all 4 or 6 corner posts to ensure stability.
